Understanding Ayahuasca
There seems to be a lot of noise in the collective around psychedelics and what healing they offer, as well as what they can do for you. I see a lot of retreats that offer massages and psychological support, and amazing music. I have also seen highly curated events that can offer insightful openings as well as authentic connections.
All of these experiences have magic and medicine when presented and integrated with love and intentionality.
In April 2024, we will all enter a room together lit by a dim firelight, each person with their own intention, going inward and leaving you to your medicine. no talking or engaging with one another during the ceremony.
The shaman is singing, sometimes humming, sometimes whistling, and even sometimes blowing his mapacho (ceremonial tobacco).
It is the simplest format I could feel for the messages of Ayahuasca to reach through the jungle and present themselves to us.
INTENTION: Understanding what is Ayahuasca, and how do I work with it?
Ayahuasca is a sacred plant teacher who has a way of illuminating exactly what you need to see. Not everyone is called to this medicine, but for those who are, we want to create a safe/informative environment with people who are eager to share the wisdom of the jungle.
Whether your intention is to sit with Ayahuasca, or to learn about the environment and culture that has brought Ayahuasca without partaking in the ceremony. This experience in the jungle is to help you understand the power of this medicine. This experience in the jungle is to get as up close and personal with this Ayahuasca as you choose.
You may choose to stay behind and journal in nature, and your only entertainment may be the monkeys leaping or the birds flying or keeping an eye out for the elusive anaconda… all under the watchful eyes of our guides.
On April 29th to May 8th, 2024, we are going back to Peru in partnership with Monteros Amazon Tours and you are invited to spend 2 days in Iquitos and 6 full days in the jungle immersed in learning about the communities and medicine, before we bring our intentions to 1 or 2 optional Ayahuasca ceremonies, and our group Integration Circles.
These ceremonies are held by our Ayahuasceros/Curanderos Gilmer Montero and Antonio Montero Vilchez, the two sons of our late father and teacher, Don Antonio Montero Pisco.

Much has gone into creating this event and the price has been set to reflect those dynamic costs. Please know that the monies received from this event will go directly to serving its mission of supporting and preserving the tribes, people, families, medicine, and culture of this region of the Amazon Jungle.
